Youth Perspectives presents original English writing by high school contributors. It gives young people a place to examine the ideas, experiences, and issues that matter to their generation.
Articles may begin with a personal experience, a question, an observation, a book, or a current social issue. They should move beyond simple description by helping readers understand why the subject matters and what the contributor has learned from exploring it.
We value thoughtful, well-supported writing that distinguishes personal opinion from factual claims and treats different viewpoints with respect.

Articles should avoid unsupported generalisations, personal attacks, political campaigning, and claims that cannot be verified.
Writing for Youth Perspectives
Recommended length: 400–600 words
A strong article usually has:
- A clearly defined subject or question
- A focused introduction
- Specific examples or reliable sources
- A distinction between fact and opinion
- A clear and thoughtful conclusion
- Language suitable for an international general audience
The article must be originally written in English by the contributor. Other people and generative AI tools may not write, translate, or substantially rewrite it.
A contributor under 18 must submit through a parent or legal guardian. Exact school names, personal contact information, and unnecessary identifying details will not normally be published.
