아시아태평양언어문화교육학회와 한국중등영어교육학회, 학술교류·공동연구 협약

아시아태평양언어문화교육학회(APALCE)와 한국중등영어교육학회(KASEE)가 학술교류와 공동연구를 위한 협력 체계를 마련했다. 양 기관은 지난 14일 상호 협력 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하고, 언어·문화·교육 및 영어교육 분야의 연구와 교육 발전을 위해 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다.
이번 협약은 두 학회가 보유한 인적·물적 자원과 학술 정보를 바탕으로 공동의 관심 분야에서 협력의 폭을 넓히기 위해 추진됐다. 협약서에는 학술 정보의 상호 교류와 공동 연구·조사·개발, 학술대회·세미나·워크숍 등 공동 학술행사의 기획 및 개최가 주요 내용으로 담겼다. 영어교육과 교사 전문성 개발과 관련한 정부·지방자치단체·공공기관 연구과제의 공동 발굴과 제안 역시 협력 범위에 포함됐다.
교사교육과 연수 프로그램, 교수학습 자료와 콘텐츠·교재 개발 및 공유, 강연·자문·공동기획 등 인적 교류도 협약의 중요한 축이다. 학술지와 출판, 연구윤리 확산을 위한 협력도 함께 명시됐다. 학술단체 간 협력이 단순한 교류에 머무르지 않고 연구, 연수, 자료 개발, 출판까지 이어질 수 있는 구조를 제도적으로 마련했다는 점에서 이번 협약은 실무적 의미가 적지 않다.
영어교육 분야는 교육과정, 평가, 교수학습, 교사 연수, 학술 출판이 긴밀하게 맞물려 움직인다. 이런 점에서 연구자 중심의 논의와 학교 현장의 요구를 별개로 두기보다 서로 연결하는 일은 교육의 질을 가늠하는 한 기준이 될 수 있다. 두 학회의 협력은 연구 성과가 실제 수업과 연수, 교육 자료 개발로 이어질 수 있는 통로를 넓히고, 학술 연구가 현장성과 공공성을 함께 확보하는 데 필요한 기반을 다지는 과정으로 볼 수 있다.
아시아태평양언어문화교육학회는 아시아·태평양 지역을 중심으로 언어, 문화, 교육 분야의 학문적 연구와 국제 교류를 촉진하기 위해 설립된 학술단체다. 학술지와 연구자료 발간, 학술대회 개최, 국내외 학자 간 공동연구와 교류 추진 등을 주요 사업으로 두고 있다. 한국중등영어교육학회 역시 중등 영어교육의 연구와 실천을 이어 온 학회다. 이번 협약은 학문적 논의를 심화하는 동시에 교육 현장과의 접점을 넓히는 계기가 될 가능성을 보여준다.
협약은 체결일로부터 2년간 효력을 가지며, 유효기간 만료 30일 전까지 어느 한쪽이 서면으로 종료 의사를 밝히지 않으면 1년 단위로 자동 연장된다. 개별 협력사업의 범위와 일정, 역할 분담, 예산과 성과물 활용 방식은 별도 협의를 거쳐 정하게 된다. 협약의 가치는 문서 자체보다 이후 어떤 공동 사업으로 이어지느냐에 따라 구체화될 것으로 보인다.

The Asia Pacific Journal of Language, Culture, and Education (APJLCE) invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners around the world to submit manuscripts for its inaugural issue (Vol. 1, No. 1), to be published on 30 June 2026.
Published by the Asia Pacific Association of Language, Culture, and Education (APALCE), APJLCE is a new international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing rigorous and forward-looking scholarship at the intersection of language, culture, and education. The journal seeks to provide an intellectually vibrant forum for research that is regionally grounded, globally relevant, and responsive to the changing realities of education and communication in the twenty-first century.
With a particular interest in the Asia-Pacific region while maintaining a strongly international outlook, APJLCE welcomes work that deepens theoretical understanding, presents robust empirical findings, introduces innovative methodologies, or offers critical reflections on emerging issues in the field.
As the founding issue of the journal, this volume offers a distinctive opportunity for authors to help shape the intellectual direction, scholarly identity, and future profile of APJLCE from the outset.
We particularly welcome submissions from scholars working in diverse global contexts, including emerging research communities.
APJLCE seeks contributions that are not only locally informed but also internationally meaningful in their implications.

To foster both sustained scholarship and timely academic dialogue, APJLCE welcomes several types of submissions:
Research Articles
Full-length empirical or theoretical studies making a substantial contribution to the field.
Short Articles / Research Notes
Concise, focused papers presenting innovative ideas, pilot studies, emerging data, or new methodological perspectives.
Discussion Papers / Trend Essays
Scholarly discussions addressing current developments, key debates, or state-of-the-field issues in language, culture, and education.
Book Reviews
Critical reviews of recently published books of clear relevance to the journal’s scope.
In particular, submissions engaging with recent developments and current directions in relevant fields are highly encouraged.

아시아태평양언어문화교육학회(APALCE)와 건강한신체활동연구소가 2026년 3월 2일 상호협력 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다. 양 기관은 언어·문화·교육 및 건강한 신체활동 관련 분야에서 연구와 교육의 발전, 국내외 교류 활성화에 기여한다는 취지로 협력의 기본 틀을 마련했다.
협약서에는 학술 정보의 상호 교류와 공동 연구·조사·개발, 학술대회·세미나·워크숍 등 공동 학술행사의 기획 및 개최, 정부·지자체 연구과제의 공동 발굴·기획·제안이 협력 분야로 담겼다. 교육 프로그램·콘텐츠·교재 개발과 공유, 인적 교류(강연·자문·공동기획)도 포함된다. 시설·기자재의 상호 이용은 가능한 범위에서 추진한다.
이번 MOU는 개별 사업을 즉시 확정하는 방식이 아니라, 협력 가능성을 넓혀 두고 필요할 때 실무 협의와 서면 합의(세부협약/실행합의서 등)로 구체화하는 구조다. 사업의 범위와 일정, 역할 분담, 예산 및 비용 부담, 성과물의 관리와 활용, 데이터 처리, 안전·윤리, 대외 공표 등은 별도 협의로 정하도록 했다.
학계에서는 언어·문화·교육 분야 연구가 현장의 실천과 접점을 넓힐수록 연구 성과의 확산 경로가 다변화된다고 본다. 신체활동 연구 영역과의 연계는 학술적 탐구가 교육 프로그램 설계, 지역사회 기반 활동, 학습자 경험 분석 등으로 확장되는 통로가 될 수 있다. 협력의 내용이 실제 사업으로 연결될 경우, 연구·교육 현장 간 연결을 촉진하는 사례로 자리 잡을 가능성이 있다.
협약의 유효기간은 서명일로부터 2년이며, 만료 30일 전까지 종료 의사 통지가 없으면 1년 단위로 자동 연장된다. 대외 공표 시 상대 기관의 명칭·로고 사용은 사전 서면 동의를 얻도록 했고, 비밀유지 의무는 종료 후 3년간 유지된다. 개인정보 처리 시에도 관련 법령을 준수하도록 명시했다.

- 주제: 생성형 AI 시대, 영어 교육의 전환과 평가 재설계: 중등 영어 수행평가와 대학 수업에서의 AI 활용과 윤리 가이드라인
- 목적: 본 워크숍은 생성형 AI 기술의 급격한 발전에 따른 영어 교육의 패러다임 전환을 고찰하고, 고교 및 대학 교육 현장에 적용 가능한 실질적인 평가 재설계 방안을 정립하는 데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 고교 수행평가와 대학 수업 내 생성형 AI의 효과적인 활용 전략과 필수적인 윤리 가이드라인을 심도 있게 논의함으로써, 학습자의 실제적 영어 역량을 함양하고 공정성을 담보하는 미래 지향적 영어 교육 모델을 제시하고자 한다.
